Hi Splasher,
A very warm welcome to our forum.
I am so sorry to hear of the situation you find yourself in with your husband. I looked after my mum when she developed secondary breast cancer, which had spread to her brain, bones, liver and lungs and I know just how difficult this is. You do find the strength from somewhere, but you have to take care of yourself too.
Do you have any family or friends, who can share the caring? If not, have a word with his care team. They should be able to arrange for carers, to take some of the pressure away from you. This would leave you able to have a bit more quality time with him, or allow you to catch up on sleep. They can even arrange for someone to be with him at night time, to allow you to rest. You cannot continue doing this solely on your own, without reaching crisis point. Please reach out for the help that you're entitled to, before it takes it's toll on you too.
Please keep in touch and let us know how you get on. We are always here for you.
Kind regards,
Jolamine xx
Thank you Jolamine
So sorry you’re going through this. My dad passed away 3 months ago from glioblastoma so know what you’re going through. It really is a horrible disease with a real lack of treatment.
