  • Hello Millie_Rose

I'm so sorry to hear about your Mum's diagnosis and that you've been told this week that there are no treatment options available for your Mum. Naturally, this is an incredibly difficult time for you and it's understandable that you may be feeling overwhelmed with thoughts and emotions.

Has your Mum been referred to the palliative care team? They will be an important point of contact over the coming days and weeks. They're there to ensure that your Mum is as comfortable as possible but also there to support you. Do lean on them.

We have some information on our website about coping with cancer that may be helpful to you but I'd also suggest giving our team of nurses a call as well. I know they will be happy to listen and offer any support and advice they can. They're available Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm on 0808 800 4040.

I hope that you and your Mum are able to access the support and care that you will both need over the coming weeks. Keep in touch with us here at Cancer Chat if it helps to have a safe space to put down in writing how you're feeling. We're here for you.

Sending you both my best wishes,
