Struggling with dad's symptoms

My dad was diagnosed with  kidney caner last Yr  The op to remove it & the kidney was successful but then we found out it has spread to a lung  so he was having infusions .

Last month we found out he'd got a brain tumor too .He's had radiosurgery,so we're waiting to see if it's working.

Since this diagnosis He's been at different levels of confusion. Some days he struggles to get sentences out ,others times he puts wrong words in a sentence but doesn't know it. I don't feel that he's mentally present.

Today he's got really swollen feet. We've tried to get help but it's not forthcoming.  He's getting annoyed with us but we've told him we're looking after him coz we love him

Mum's doing most of the caring with me & my sister helping when we can coz we both work full-time.

Has anyone had a loved one with similar diagnosis...does it get better...???

We're all emotion wrecks . I hate to see the man l know for being so strong be so weak & not really aware of what he's doing.
