Worried - waiting for husband's haematology results. They suspect low grade lymphoma. I'm terrified

Hey, my husband has been to haematology today for the results of a biopsy on a lymph node, the full result was not ready and has been sent to another hospital, however they suspect low grade lymphoma, I’ve terrified myself on google, this started when I noticed a lump in his neck a few months ago and it got put off due to us getting married, he is fit and well hasn’t got any of the other symptoms other than the swollen nodes, just after some advice and reassurance we have two young children and I’m spiralling ,

thanks

  • Hi Hanlou18,

Welcome to Cancer Chat. I'm sorry you haven't received a reply up to now - I hope you are getting on OK.

I know the uncertainty must be difficult to deal with, and it's never easy waiting for information. Hopefully it won't be long before you get the results you need.

It's easier said than done, but do try to avoid looking things up online as a lot of the information won't be relevant, and it only tends to increase worries.

Try to take things a day at a time and focus on other things where possible. Hopefully you'll get some more replies from others here soon.

    Wishing you all the best,

    Ben
