Husband diagnosed with Lymphoma spread to the brain

My husband has recently been told the large b cell lymphoma has spread to his brain.  Has anybody any experience of this as I would like to know what to expect.  He has been started on steroids , with a possibility of chemo or radiotherapy after that but we don’t know yet

  • Hello tillyflop,

I am sorry to hear that your husband's lymphoma has spread to his brain and I hope that you find out more soon about treatment options  and whether he will need chemotherapy or radiotherapy . Our website has information on diffuse large B cell lymphoma and if you have any questions don't hesitate to call our cancer nurses on this free number 0808 800 4040 - their line is open Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm.

I hope that you will hear from other members of our community who have been diagnosed with B-cell lymphoma which spread to the brain and hopefully they will be able to give you an indication as to how things developed for them.

This is obviously a worrying time for you and your husband as there is still a lot of uncertainty regarding treatment at the moment but I am sure he is in the best possible hands and that the most suitable treatment will be offered to him. Keep in touch with us here at Cancer Chat. We're here to listen and offer any help and support we can.

    Best wishes,
