My mum was diagnosed with Stage 4 ovarian cancer 12 months ago. She is 89. At first she coped well and had 6 months of chemo. The cancer has now spread to her stomach and colon and is borderline in her pancreas. She is very independent still but now spends a lot of time resting as she has very little energy but still insists that she can manage. After spending the weekend in hospital to have her kidneys flushed she went home feeling a lot better but two days later is feeling really poorly again with stomach pain. She is extremely stubborn about taking medication and I have to respect her wishes but find it hard to watch her suffering especially if this can be avoided with the proper treatment. I am constantly searching for some thing/anything to make her feel better so any advice on this would be extremely helpful. Thank you for reading.
