Dad has bone cancer and blood cancer

My dad has just be diagnosed with 2 cancers blood and bone they say he's had it for years but hasnt been detected, he having chemo  and getting lots of pain relief he cant walk and in constant pain, he has been fitted with a catheter, hes not eating either

Is anyone going though the same thing,  will he survive or should I just accept he is going to die, the nurses I feel are giving him hope.

  • Welcome to the forum Sam81 although I'm really sorry to hear your dad has been diagnosed with blood and bone cancer.

It sounds like your dad is having a very tough time, which must be very difficult to see, but I do hope the pain relief he is receiving is helping to a certain extent. If it isn't, do make sure you let his medical team know so they can adjust it.

I hope you hear back from some of our members soon but in the meantime, if you'd like to talk any of this through with one of our cancer nurses, they are available on 0808 800 4040, Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m. They're very easy to talk to and will do all they can to support you and work through your questions and concerns.

We're here for you Sam and sending all our strength and support to you both.

    Kind regards,
