Advanced Prostrate Cancer

Absolutely devastated that my beloved husband has been diagnosed with stage 4 prostate cancer today. The gleason score is 8 and he starts hormone therapy on Thursday.

Anyone in the same position or can talk about how successful this treatment has been for them or someone they care for?

  • large tumour on his prostrate and secondary bone cancer in the lilac bone in his pelvic area My husband already has Parkinson's disease and My husband was diagnosed last September 2023 with an advanced large tumour on his prostrate and secondary bone cancer in the lilac bone in his pelvic area his PSA was 209 last September 2023 there is no cure for bone metastases.

The treatment my husband has had so far hormone injection first it was given every 4 weeks for three months now it's given every 12 weeks slow release capsule.

Than they gave him taken daily 3 x 40mg of Xtandi takes them every day,

My husband got side effects hot flashes, and lost muscle mass.

My husband just finished two weeks ago Radiotherapy in the prostrate are.

My husband PSA has now gone down to 0.1

My husband is still having blood tests every month to check his PSA level and A bone density test.

It has all been very upsetting having this new diagnosis as having P/D is bad enough, but we are being positive and everyone is different with any cancer diagnosis and Parkinson disease.
