My husband had a call from his surgeon Friday and he had the results from the biopsies taken from his primary tumour etc. The surgeon said the primary tumour removal was a success no margins, his peritnium mets are localised, in one area, and not many mets, out of 29 lymph nodes removed only one was cancerous. He's been referred and we waiting for oncologist to ring for him to begchemo again. He has lynch syndrome and will also be referred to the genetics team. This was not expected it was expected to be much worse, it was discovered whilst doing a right hemiecolectmy which resulred in a ileostomy which is not reversable. But we may have light at the end of the tunnel!!
