Hi Bea22 and welcome to the forum, although I'm sorry to hear your mother in law has been diagnosed with leukaemia.
Our coping practically section has a lot of useful information about the help and support that may be available to you and your mother in law, but I really hope this pdf guide that explains what a blue badge is and who is eligible for it will prove useful as well. For further information and advice about the blue badge, it may be worth looking at the gov.uk website and Macmillan.
