Husband's just started treatment for Oesophageal cancer. What food should I cook for him?

My husband has just started treatment, consisting of chemo once a week for 4 weeks, and radiotherapy for four and a half weeks every day, excluding weekends, then surgery.

My problem is what to cook can anyone please help me. I do have a blender and food processor

Can any of you good people reading this give me some ideas. Thankyou

Hi Derby girl.

In reply to your post after I was diagnosed with OC I carried on eating as normal as I could everything and anything. If eating became too difficult my food was blended into a soup which made it easier to swallow.

My dad suffers with throat cancer, the best thing for him was liquid foods or soft foods.

Any food with lots and lots of gravy with mash, which was soft and not alot of chewing. I dont know if its different but he had a dry mouth and needed it to be liquid to swallow.

Hi Steve thanks for your reply, I have started blending his food, and he has now been prescribed protein shakes and drinks which is helpful
