My husband has been diagnosed for the third time with bowel cancer but this time has been told he also has prostate cancer. They have said that the only cure is to take away his bowel, prostate and bladder leaving him with two bags for the rest of his life. He is only 57 and I am younger than him, I am so frightened for the operation and for what the future holds for us going forwards xx

    Welcome to Cancer Chat. I'm sorry to hear this - this sounds like a lot to process. I'm not sure of the timescales for this, but try to get any and all information you can from the doctor so you can have the best understanding of what to expect.
