  • Hi Kathleeno,

Welcome to Cancer Chat. I'm sorry to hear of the situation with your brother - it sounds like you are providing some good support to him. I hope you are getting on OK too - I can understand it must be difficult. It's important that you keep looking after yourself too. If you feel you need additional support at any point, have a look at Macmillan, who offer various resources and a helpline too.

We have some information on our website about tips for putting on weight. It may of course be that not all of these are applicable to your brother.

We also have some general information regarding exercise guidelines. Again, this is only general advice and so may not all be appropriate.

If you'd like to know more, try to speak to your brother's doctor as they will be best placed to advise. You are also welcome to give our nurses a call if you'd like to speak to someone. You can reach them on freephone 0808 800 4040 - Monday-Friday, 9-5.

    Wishing you all the best,

    Ben
