He has been told it’s stage 3 has lost half his body weight and therefore the only treatment available is a stent as he wouldn’t cope with a peg. Are there no drugs that can be used?

Hi DBK and welcome to the forum.
I'm really sorry to hear your brother has oesophageal cancer. This must be a very difficult time for you and your family.
Unfortunately this is a question I can't answer but our team of cancer nurses may be able to help, so if you'd like to get their thoughts on this do give them a call on 0808 800 4040. Their phonelines are open Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m and they will do all they can to address your concerns and and answer any other questions you may have at this time.
Hopefully some of our members who have been on this journey will stop by soon to share their stories and advice but in the meantime, we're thinking of you DBK and wishing your brother all the best with his treatment.
Kind regards,
Steph, Cancer Chat Moderator
