Hi all,
My husband (48) started chemo in December for stage 3 muscle invasive bladder cancer, he was due to have 3 cycles, two weeks apart. He sailed through the first two with virtually no side effects other than fatigue and tinnitus and a couple weeks ago at his bloods appointment the day before his final chemo, the doctor said they would have to stop as tinnitus could be a sign the chemo was likely to make him permanently deaf. So the plan was to bring everything forward, ie his scan and op to remove the bladder and prostate, hopefully getting a cancellation. He's had his CT scan but isn't due to see the consultant for almost another three weeks so presumably the op as soon as possible afterwards. My worry is, what's going on now....are the two treatments he's had enough to keep going while we wait? I was already conscious of the fact that when treatment started, doctors were looking at scan results which by that time were 4-5 weeks old.....they told us the cancer was "aggressive and extensive" so this further delay has got me pretty scared. Hubby is very upbeat and positive and I don't want to bring him down with my worries! I know the most sensible thing is not to worry because I can't change anything but any thoughts would be welcome! Thanks for reading x
