Esophagus Cancer

My mum has just been diagnosed with Esophagus Cancer . It was such a shock ! My mum had been struggling to keep food down so I made her go to doctors he gave her Lansoprazole to try for a month but after a couple of weeks they wasn't working I kept telling her to go back to tge doctors but she could never get in , when she did get in he said they arnt working its been 3 weeks you need the camera . My mum had the camera and a CT then when we finally went for results we thought they were going to say even they were going to do the balloon procedure as they said they would do but no they told us it was Cancer . It was surreal we couldn't take it in my heart broke for my mum . When we got home she just broke down so did my dad it was like I had to stay strong for her . The specialist nurse did say its not like the 60s or 70s they sre things we can do to keep at at bay but Mr xxx also said they had seen two black spots on her lung so now she has got ger PET scan next Wednesday to see if it has spread which he thinks it might have . They have given her those fortysips drinks but she has lost a lot of weight and she's not sleeping so she's very tired . I sit and if I laugh at something I feel so bad I just cry its killing me watching my mum . The Cancer she has got is apparently through smoking or heavy drinking which she has never done either I'm so angry but I'm hoping when we go for this PET scan it hasn't spread and she could have surgery to remove it then have chemo so she can finally eat and get her strength back to fight it . Is this an aggressive Cancer? Xx
