Hello Rich75
I'm so very sorry to hear about your Dad's diagnosis. It's understandable that he is feeling scared and natural that you want to make sure he is as comfortable as possible.
We do have some information on our website about living with stomach cancer which you may find helpful but I'd really encourage you to lean on the medical team that is responsible for your Dad's care as they will be best placed to make sure that he has the pain relief he needs and provide advice and support with diet and nutrition. Does your Dad have a named clinical nurse specialist? Or has he been referred to a palliative team? Don't be afraid to get in touch with them as it's part of their role to support you as a family to make sure your Dad is comfortable.
If it would help to chat things through with someone then do give our team of nurses a call. They're available Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm on 0808 800 4040 and I know they will be happy to offer any advice, information, and support they can.
Thinking of you all at this difficult time.
