I am so sorry to hear about your dad's stage 4 cancer diagnosis. It's so sad that he is so exhausted at the moment and that he is not letting any of the children help him. It must be really hard for you and I can imagine you are feeling a bit powerless at the moment. Perhaps you could talk to your mum about this as he is at least letting your mum in and hopefully she can update you a little on what is going on and what the doctors have said. You could mention to your mum that you are keen to do something to help and ask if there is anything you could do to support her especially given her knee issues - and in supporting her, you will indirectly be supporting your dad too. 

It may help you to talk to one of our cancer nurses so don't hesitate to give them a call on this free number 0808 800 4040 and hopefully they will be able to offer you some guidance. Their line is open Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm (but closed this bank holiday Monday)
