I am sorry to hear about this diagnosis. Unfortunately, we are not doctors, just cancer patients, who are here to support one another.The best person to answer this is the consultant or oncologist. They will have all of the patient's details to hand and can therefore make an informed judgement. Factors such as age, fitness, general health, family history and how they react to treatment, will all come into play. Each cancer is individual to the person who has it. You could phone one of our nurses to find out more, but I suspect that they would find it difficult to give you any sort of accurate reply, without knowing the patient and all of the details above.
