kidney cancer mets

My husband recently found out his kidney cancer had spread to two other areas and since hes already had 3 previous operations they will not be able to operate again. However he has been accepted onto a trial which starts next week. Its scarey to think how things will proceed but its his best chance. Has anyone / is anyone else been through/ going through the same.

  • Hello AngelaJ and welcome to Cancer Chat,

I can understand you're worried and it's difficult not knowing what the outcome will be, but you being there and having your support will mean so much to your husband. I'm sure our members with similar experiences will reach out to you and there's also information and topics here, which might be useful ahead of the trial. I hope this helps in somw way.

Wishing you both all the best,

  • Hi AngelaJ,

I found out I had kidney cancer in September and had surgery to remove my kidney in October. They also found nodules in my right lung and I have been having scans and waiting for more tests. I did agree to take part in a trial but with the lung situation being unclear yet it was decided not to take part in the end.

I know not quite the same as your husband and I hope the trial is successful.
