Do you have a support package of carers set up to help with caring for him? I am afraid that i am only just trying to navigate the whole system myself. My mum is in hospital at present, has wide spread secondary cancer, she is desperate to get home, but i am having to hold firm and say to the hospital that they cannot discharge her until carers are organised, my dad is 83 and was struggling to cope.
Hopefully someone with more knowledge than me will soon join the conversation, with some constructive advice.
It is a very hard situation to be in, to be honest I am already pretty daunted by the thought of pain management and coping with watching my mums decline, when she does come home.
