A very warm welcome to the forum Steve although I'm really sorry to hear your brother's treatment is no longer working and has now been withdrawn.

I can't begin to imagine how difficult this must be for you and your family but our community are here for you and hopefully some of our members who have been in this situation with their loved ones will be along soon to offer you their support and advice.

I'm so very sorry to hear that your brother passed away earlier this week. it's undoubtedly an incredibly difficult time for you all right now.

Thank you Jenn, I think after the initial shock and raw grief now I'm left with this awful feeling that I won't be able to speak to my brother ever again. Also the "wish had said / wish had done" etc etc. I know these are often parts of the grieving process. He knew we all loved him and had a great family around him that were incredibly supportive and loving. Also very brave as had to sit with my brother for days at the end of his life. My sisters daughter passed away at 10 months of age around 23 years ago so because our brother has passed away in this month too there are extra layers of grief and pain for her. These are extremely hard and painful times particularly amplified around Christmas and New Year
