Can anyone tell me what to expect with ALL

My father in law has been diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia and has decided not to do chemo. We're worried and would like to hear from someone with a similar experience. How does the disease develop. What should we expect him to go through in the coming days, weeks and months? What is the life expectancy with no chemo? Thanks

  • Hello Orchid1

I'm sorry to hear about your father in laws diagnosis. It's understandably a difficult time for you all at the moment and natural that you want to get as much information as you can about what the future may hold.

We do have some information on our website about acute lymphoblastic leukaemia which may help answer some of your questions. I'd also suggest giving our team of nurses a call to chat with them. I know they will be happy to offer any advice, information, and support they can to help. They're available Monday to Friday 9 am to 5 pm on 0808 800 4040.

    I hope this helps.

    Best wishes,
