Is there anyone else in walsall who’s a career?

Is there anyone else is walsall West Midlands who is looking after a relative or friend who is suffering with or who had cancer? I would love to be able to talk to someone who understands. My husband won't talk to me I can't talk to my mum (she's the one who's got cancer) even though she tells me I can, I just feel like sometimes it'll be good to talk.

  • Hello H_L

I'm sorry to hear that your Mum has cancer. It's understandable that this is a difficult time for you and that you'd like to connect with others who might understand.

I did find this information about a Macmillan information and support hub in your area. It's worth getting in touch with them as they will be aware of any carer support groups/meetings in your local area that you can access. You may also want to have a look at the Carers Trust website.

Hopefully some of our members who have experience of caring for a loved one will post a reply to say hello soon. In the meantime, if you'd like to chat with one of o our nurses you're welcome to call them on 0808 800 4040, Monday to Friday 9 am to 5 pm.

    I hope this helps.

    Best wishes,

  • Hi, I'm from Walsall, and my dad has cancer. I'm not his carer, as my mom does all that for him and he's still fairly capable and young. But I know how hard it is as a family, I'm happy to chat with you.
