Pancreatic cancer with liver and bone mets

Hi there, my dad has pancreatic cancer with liver mets (diagnosed Feb'21) and has received chemo treatment (Folfirionx then switched for Gem/Abraxane and then just Gemzar), however on his last CT scan last week it showed progression in his liver and several sites to his bones. He started radiotherapy today for 5 days. Anyone else in this situation and what was your treatment?

  • Hello Rainbow1012

I'm sorry to hear that your dad's most recent scan showed that there was some progression in his liver and bones. it's understandable that you may be feeling worried about this and have questions about what the next steps may be. Hopefully, if we've any members who have experience with a similar diagnosis they will reply to share their stories with you.

In the meantime, if you'd like to chat things through with one of our team of nurses you're most welcome to give them a call. they're available Monday to Friday 9 am to 5 pm on 0808 800 4040. I'm sure they will be happy to offer any advice, information, and support that they can.

I do hope that your Dad's radiotherapy treatment helps to improve things for him.

    Best wishes,
