Hi there ..
In my experience it's knowing you can't take it away or make it better ... as someone who's been on both sides I think it's far harder watching someone you love go through it ...
The best advice I got was live in the day ... don't look too far ahead ... take each problem as and when it comes up .. don't do the "what ifs" ... just having someone to listen ... know she'll have good and bad days .. some times it's o.k not to be o.k ... but a hand to hold and a shoulder when needed is priceless...
There's lots of us on here living through cancer, it has come a long way ... I think it's like a scary rollercoaster... with highs and plummeting lows ... trying to keep busy helps a tad ... just go with the flow, and listen to your gut feelings ... and know sometimes we want to be alone ..
There's no right or wrong for everyone ... so fingers crossed this has not been too confusing but you sound so caring to try to find out info .... Chrissie ....
