The only advice I have is, it has to be his choice ... he will be in shock for a while after that diagnosis... I shut myself away when I got my diagnosis... I needed to get my head strait before I could let loved ones in ... so I'd say .. take a step back and just let him know your there when he wants to chat ..
It will be a hard old road, no mater what he chooses ... I'd think he's weighing up weather to take whatever time he has to do what he needs to do, or if it's worth going through treatment for a little longer ... only he can make that decision ... so hold on in there... try to stay in the day .. and not look too far ahead .. my mum has been given an advanced cancer diagnosis, she also doesn't want treatment. I'm very sad and full of mixed emotions but it's her choice and I don't want her to suffer. .it's hard to know and to see.
