So many questions

So my lovely Nan who’s 84 and has dementia has been referred up to breast clinic has she had what looked like a sore under her breast doctor said it felt firm and referred her we went Monday and the doctor at breast clinic could feel a lump so had a mammogram ultrasound and biopsy and was told they thought it was sinister we was supposed to go back today for the results but they called a hr before we was supposed to go and said results still wasn’t back so are going next week so another week of waiting. Where worried that she will have to stay in hospital has this would make her dementia worse if she goes out for a hour or 2 she’s very confused are the treatments same regardless of age what will happen when we go next week would they tell us if it has spread or not do they always remove the mass ? She also today recieved a letter from the hospital stating that the mass was 22mm with puckering and invasion of the underlying skin what does this mean sorry to ask lots of questions

  • I'm sorry about the lump that's been found and that your nan's results have been delayed by a week.
