classical Hodgkins Lymphoma stage 4 Nondular sclerosing

Hi

My daughter has been diagnosed with stage 4AE Hodgkins Lymphoma, shes had 2 cycles (4 chemos) of ABVD. Shes had her PET Scan and we are awaiting results which will determine if she stays on ABVD or has to move to Escalated BEACOPP.  Can anyone let me know if they have had a similar experience and if they have stayed on ABVD or move onto Escalated BEACOPP after being diagnosed with stage 4.

The A after the 4 means she did not present with symptoms, but had a lump.

Thanks

  • Welcome to Cancer Chat Arias although I'm sorry to hear about your daughter's diagnosis.

Unfortunately I haven't been able to find anyone that has moved to escalated BEACOPP, but ABVD has been discussed a fair bit within the community so hopefully some of our members will share their experiences of this chemo with you soon but you can use the 'search forum' option in the purple bar above to find these discussions as well.

I noticed that another new member, Christy93, is in a similar position to your daughter so I'm just going to include a link to their post just here in case you would like to get in touch with them.

We have a team of cancer nurses available on 0808 800 4040, Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m, if you'd like to discuss your daughter's treatment as well.

I hope you and daughter won't be waiting too long for her PET scan results and that they bring good news when they come through.

    Best wishes to you both,

    Steph, Cancer Chat Moderator
