Any advice welcome

Morning everyone...Im hoping I can get some advice here for my mam looking after my dad getting palliative chemotherapy...its his second go at chemotherapy and this time its much harder on him and my mam is finding it very hard to look after him this time. I go up on every Friday evening and last night she was crying and I didnt even know what to say to be honest.Myself and my sister and our families live about 40 miles away and wed live them to live closer to us so we and our families could help out everday...any one any advice its a horrible situation for them both

    This sounds like a really difficult situation. Hopefully your mam has a good support network around her, including yourselves - other friends nearby for example.

    I'm sure she knows you are there for her, and that the distance provides a bit of a challenge. Keep on doing what you can - speaking to her and visiting when possible. Trying to do some 'normal' things with her may help - conversations or activities that act as a bit of a distraction from everything going on. I'm sure that anything that gives her a bit of a break or distraction would be welcome.

    Keep looking after yourself among all this too.
