  • Hello Sue1970,

Welcome to Cancer Chat. I hope that everything goes well with the biopsy on Wednesday and that it sheds some light on what is going on. There is information on our website on basal cell cancer and it mentions that "it's very rare for basal cell skin cancer to spread to another part of the body to form a secondary cancer".

I hope that you will hear from other forum members who have had a similar diagnosis and that they will be along shortly to share their story with you. While you are waiting to find out more, it is best not to anticipate too much what it might be. There are helpful tips on this page to help you cope while waiting for important news.

The best thing to do to avoid thinking too much about this is to keep busy and distracted if you can and avoid looking things up online. I can imagine it is hard for you to do this at the moment but it will help you feel a little less anxious.

Keeping everything crossed that everything turns out fine.

    Best wishes,
