mums first chemo session

my mum has her first session in just over a week. she was diagnosed in february so its not been very long and it seems super sudden. i know its different for everyone but what kind of thing should i expect and what can i do at home before she gets back? i cant sit in the hospital with her due to covid but i want to make things easy and comfy for her when she gets home. she has conditions that are likely to make it difficult for her; i have those conditions too, plus im only a kid so it will be difficult for me to take care of her but i want to try my hardest.

i hope everyone is ok. thank u to anyone who can help.

  • You are brilliant and you clearly love your mum deeply. Probably your mum will get a lot of information how to cope with the side effects related to her condition. Sometimes the small things goes a long way such as someone bringing a cup of tea or listening to the music together.Making the room look nice and ect. Please also have a chat with your  mum, what she would like- I know it is hard to talk about it , but it will help on a long run. Please be kind to yourself too and talk to the other family/ friends and ask for help if needed.

I hope all goes well for your mum and you ... Take good care...:-)
