  • Hello Lesley60

I'm so sorry to hear about your husband's diagnosis and that on top of everything you're now dealing with a health concern. It sounds like it's a very difficult time for you at the moment and it's understandable that you may be going through a rollercoaster of emotions.

It's good to hear that the hospice team was able to get a better handle on your husband's pain management and that he's currently coping well with things and able to enjoy his food. But I can understand that it would be helpful for you to know what the future holds. Often Dr's and nurses simply don't know how things may progress for a patient and can only make a guestimate based on their experiences with other patients.

I wonder if you might find it helpful to chat things through with one of our nurses? I'm sure they will be happy to offer any information, advice, and support that they can, both regarding your husband's situation and your own health worries. If you'd like to chat with them they're available Monday to Friday 9 am to 5 pm on 0808 800 4040.

Keep in touch Lesley. We have many members here who have cared for loved ones and will understand some of what you're going through at the moment.

    Best wishes,
