I'm confused !! My boyfriend told me he had stage 3 lung cancer. Then two weeks later he said they diagnosed him by email with stage 4 and that he's only got 4 to 5 months to live
Although in theory this could happen, I would consider it most unlikely. He would have to have various scans and tests to prove this diagnosis and, I feel sure that news like this would be broken face-to-face.
Without wanting to read into anything to much here from the little information provided it is not necisarily for 'expected' results that have already been discussed to be given out via email or phone call however a terminal diagnosis would most likely be a face to face discussion.
I would wonder if google has had a role to play in this.
