Advice please

Hi. New to this forum.
my dad was diagnosed 2 years ago with advanced prostate cancer.  Was started on enzaluamide in august 2020. Diagnosis t3b m1b Gleason 4plus3 psa 49.4

doing really well until about 7 weeks ago. Now pains in back and groin and lost so much weight last psa almost 3 months ago was 0.8 so we thought things were going ok !

things seemed to of detoriated so quickly.  Scan being done tomorrow.  I'm absolutely terrified of what's happening and what happens next. Dad was incredibly strong and active. Still working. Still trying to.

any advice would be much appreciated as I'm completely stressed at the moment. Advice on nutrition and next steps if you recognise any of this.

thanks ever do much.

  • Hello Debs74 and a warm welcome to our forum,

I am so sorry to hear about your dad and that things have deteriorated so much for him in recent weeks. How did the scan go yesterday? I hope you won't have to wait too long for the results and that you soon get an indication as to what happens next. There is information on our website on advanced prostate cancer which I hope you will find useful. Don't hesitate at any point also to reach out to our cancer nurses who are available on this free number 0808 800 4040 - their line is open Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm.

It might be helpful too to have a look at the diet and physical activity information on the Prostate Cancer UK website which I hope will also be a good resource for you.

Let us know if you get a chance what the scan results show and what the plan of action will be - everything crossed for you and your dad. I hope that you'll hear from other members of the forum who have been in a similar place and that they will drop by to share their experience with you.

    Best wishes,
