  • Hello Davich

I'm sorry to hear that your husband is dealing with some problems following his recent surgery. It's really miserable when you can't find any way to get comfortable.

Hopefully if we've any members here who have been through similar issues they will post to share their tips and advice with you. You might also want to post on the Bowel Cancer UK forum to see if any members there can help.

In the meantime do make sure that your husband is taking any pain relief medication he was prescribed by the hospital regularly as this can help. I'd certainly get in touch with his nurse specialist to discuss the problems. They may want to change his pain relief. You could also ask about recommendations for seating cushions or if he can be referred to the local occupational therapy team for advice and support.

I really do hope that things settle and improve soon.

    Best wishes,
