High risk non muscle invasive bladder cancer - any advice?

My dad has been diagnosed with high risk non muscle invasive bladder cancer following the removal of a 3cm papillary tumour. The stage is PTA but they are suspicious it's PT1 so he's going for another TURBT. This is all new to us, if anyone has or knows of anyone with a similar diagnosis that can offer any advice on the prognosis and likely outcomes it'd be much appreciated, thank you.

  • Hi Sam17,

Welcome to Cancer Chat. I'm sorry to hear of the situation with your dad. To get the answers that are most relevant to your dad, it will be best to wait until you have all the information possible from the medical team - following any further procedures or tests.

Hopefully you will receive more replies to your post here and if there are others with similar experience to share then hopefully they will be along soon.

Meanwhile I hope you're able to find out more soon about any next steps.

    Wishing you all the best,

    Ben
