Mass type swelling

Hi last week I had a lot of pain in my chest and under my arm and back. I have a large swelling under my armpit and 2 nights ago I couldn't sleep because of the amount of pain I had. I have told my BCN who said she was not too worry bout the pain but was concerned about the swelling and I have an appointment at the hospital for the 22nd. Has anyone else experienced this. It was 9 months ago now since I had my mastectomy.

    I am sorry to hear about the swelling and pain you have and imagine this must be a worry.

    As this seems to be affecting your sleep I would see if your GP could take a look at you just to make sure this isn't being caused by an infection that needs treating with antibiotics.

    If you are unable to speak to your doctor and in an emergency call NHS111 for advice.

    I hope you know more and things settle for you soon.

    Thank you. I will ring my GP tomorrow because I will never get an appointment now. I have been thinking all sorts of bad things. As I have been taking painkillers every 4hrs the pain has subsided. The only problem I have now is that we are going away on holiday for 9 days from Wednesday so yes I will definitely ring my doctors tomorrow x
