Back to square one

So I had my first appointment yesterday. I saw a doctor first then had a mammogram then a scan and biopsy. When I went back in after all this, in the room was the doctor I'd originally seen, the consultant who I would see if I do have cancer and a McMillan nurse !

I was told my scans don't match up and they know nothing until the results of my biopsy, another 2 weeks. If they don't know, why are they treating me like they know. Has this happened to anyone else x

  • Hi

    My experience was similar.

My first visit to the bresst clinic I had an examination, mammogram, ultrasound and biopsies. I was then called back in and saw the consultant and breast care nurse. They told me they were suspicious it was cancer. I then went and sat with the breast care nurse who just said I could call if I have any questions.

They said they could only 100 percent confirm once the biopsy results were back.

    I hope this helps x

  • Thanks for getting back to me. It's just this waiting game, it's awful. I just want to know what I'm dealing with now. Just spoke to a lovely nurse on here who says this is all normal procedure x
