I'm due at the hospital on the 10th for a scan The dr done an internal and said I had a thickening of the wall inside. Im bloated, full from a cup of tea, tired, not hungry, have a white discharge, lost weight, my tummy hurt when the internal was done and I've had a prolapse.

thank you

much love

  • Hello and thanks for your post,

I can imagine how unsettling this all must be waiting for your scan on the 10th. There are any number of reasons that may explain your symptoms but it is really only when you have had your scan and any other tests that they may consider doing, that they will find out what it all means.

The CA125 blood test is done with other tests and is never used as a stand alone test. It can show that there is inflammation in and around the womb area. Usually a result below 35 does not indicate ovarian cancer but if you still have still have symptoms it is important to know why you have them. The charity Target Ovarian has more information about the CA125 test here

There can be many different reasons that can explain your symptoms and they don't always have to be as serious as cancer. Try not too overthink it all for now.

I do hope that you find out more soon.

If you want to give the nurses a ring on the helpline then you are more then welcome to do so.  The number to call is Freephone 0808 800 4040 and the lines are open from 9am till 5pm Monday to Friday.

    All the Best,

    Catherine
