Lump groin/libia

I have had a ton of lumps in my breast and biopsies done. Always been perfectly fine. I've found a lump under my outer libia close to groin. It's small, hard, fixed and not painful. It feels different to any lump I've had before. It's in an awkward place for me to see so I asked husband to look see if had a head or was red etc. He says all you can see is the lump. It's made me so anxious. I'll call my GP in the morning, but this lump does feel very different. Any advice or anyone had similar?

  • Hi and thanks for the post

No one here will be able to say what this is, as you would need to be examined for anyone to say.

Lumps around the labia are not unusual and can be down to Bartholins cysts , blocked sebaceous glands or blocked hair follicles. These are nothing to do with cancer.

However, we would always encourage you to get any lumps or symptoms that don't go away after a few weeks, checked out by the GP .

I hope things settle down and you get to know a bit more

    All the best

    Wanda

  • Thanks for the reply. Sorry, I think I worded it wrong, I absolutely would not look for an internet diagnosis.

Last night I think I panicked, today I'm much calmer and more relaxed. I'll keep an eye on this and take it from there. Thank you again.
