Should I see my GP

So around a week ago I had a procedure to remove some abnormal cells from my cervix using heat, think it was a LLETZ procedure not sure on the name. Since then ive had some light bleeding and discharge which they said was to be expected but now the discharge smells. Should I go see my GP or is it nothing to worry about?

    Hi, are you still awake? My cancer is a different type to yours but just wanted to say Hello. Sucks not sleeping doesn't it?  If your discharge is smelly any decent Doctor will want to know about it. I suggest you try to ring them first thing in the morning. Take Care of ypurself, I am not a Nurse but am answering just in general terms in case you are awake still and worried!    Best Wishes.

    It's still very early days post your LLETZ treatment, and bleeding and some discharge is to be expected. If you're worried about your discharge though, do get in touch with the GP or practice nurse, so that if necessary, they can take some swabs to see if there is any infection that may need treatment.
