Large lump on bumcheek

Hello, in the past couple of weeks i have had a large lump show on my left bum cheek. I haven't had a fall or anything like that, it just showed up on morning. it's very sore and painful to touch. 

It is bruised and seems to be getting slightly bigger each day. I'm scared to see my gp. I also have a lump in my groin area, that isn't bruised or as painful as my other lump but it's all very concerning

What should i do?

    You must  never be afraid to see your GP. That is exactly what they are there for.

    We can't diagnose anyone on the forum and we always tell anyone who has any health concerns to get checked out by their GP. You may have an infected cyst that may need a course of antibiotics which may explain the pain. There are other reasons that may explain the lump other then cancer but it is always a good idea to get it looked at.

    The lump in the groin area may well be a swollen lymph gland. These can go up and down when someone has an infection or has had a recent infection so try if you can not to think the worst.
