Hi,

I'm wondering about something, secondary to finding a dimple on one of my breasts, and I'm curious if anyone else has come across this.

About a month ago I noticed that a dimple appeared on my left breast, below my areola (only visible when raising my arms), it's amost like a fingerprint. I watched it for a couple of weeks but it didn't go, so I went to the GP. She examined me, found no lumps, but said she who do me a fast track referral to the hospital. That was 2 weeks ago. I've still not heard anything and when I called a week ago, they said they were delayed due to cancelled clinics but they would send me an appointment soon as.

I'm religiously still checking myself to make sure nothing new has appeared, monitoring the dimple. I've been getting fairly regular aches in that breast but was told that pain isn't necessarily a factor in breast cancers. Anyhow, I've noticed today that the tissue to the side of that breast (not on it) appears swollen. Is that something I should be concerned enough about that I try and chase this appointment?? I am overweight by quite a lot and also flirting with menopause. So I'm just not sure. That said, it's only the dimple breast side of my body that looks swollen, not the other. Not hurt it, knocked it, anything like that...
