I am sorry to hear you are undergoing some tests and appreciate this news of a breast nodule must be a worry.

There can be many reasons for breast lumps (sometimes called nodules) and most will be benign ( not cancer) but often they will want to carry out more tests on anything unusual to find out more and to be sure nothing sinister is going on.

I am sure at the appointment today they will talk through what needs to happen next. If they need to biopsy the nodule you may need to wait a couple of weeks for the results to come back but a biopsy is usually able to confirm what is going on.
