It sounds like you've had such a difficult time what with the wait and then having an infection.

It's a difficult one to answer though, as there will be lots of different factors which will affect the possibility of having this done again - It's important that you talk this over with your consultant, as they need to know how you are feeling about the reconstruction. There are different types of reconstruction available , but some may not be suitable for you.

Usually, the size of the cup is talked through before surgery, so if this isn't what was agreed, do say, as there may have been a reason why it wasn't made bigger.

It takes a while for things to settle down after a reconstruction and it's possible you may feel differently after a few more weeks.

I hope the next surgery will clear things up for you and that you're able to talk through your concern with the surgeon.
