Sons brain MRI results.

Son has had his MRI today after the optician noticed a very swollen optic disc back in April, had an ultrasound in May and it had swollen even more. 10 mins after the scan I received a text message with an appointment for the results for 7 days later. (Although before I'd been told to expect a letter with an appointment in about 1 weeks).

Has anyone else been through this? How long did you wait for the results and were they good or bad? 

If it is bad will they tell me with my son in the room?

    Hopefully people will come along and share their experiences with you, as support like this can be invaluable. But it’s important to bear in mind that even if there are other people who have experienced similar things to your son, I’m not sure that their experience will shed much light about what is going on with him. 

    I'm not sure how old your son is but If he is a child then the doctors will discuss the results with you without your son being present. If he is an adult then the results will be given to him.
