Hello and thank you for your post.
I am sorry to hear that following an MRI scan you have been told that have ovarian cancer. While I know this is worrying you do now have to wait to see what the gynaecologist has to say about this and whether you need to have further investigations to see if it is definitely cancer
You might have to wait a couple of weeks for a phone call. It is also very likely that the gynaecology team will look at this MRI scan before they talk with you. Waiting to hear from them could be a difficult time and I am afraid to say that there is no way around this. I hope you have support and that you do not have to wait to long to find out exactly what is the matter.
You would be welcome to get back to us if you need any more information or support. You may find it helpful to talk things through with one of the nurses on our helpline. The number to call is Freephone 0808 800 4040 and the lines are open from 9am till 5pm Monday to Friday.
Take care,
Caroline
