I think when there are noticeable changes in the body it can be worrying, but please do not assume the problem with your nipple and the pain you have is necessarily anything to do with cancer.

You did the right thing and went to see your GP. Your breast was examined so I do think if this doctor was concerned that you would have then been referred to the breast clinic. I think it is a reasonable request to monitor your symptoms and if they do not get better in a couple of weeks to go back to get checked out again. If you are still having a period then it would be a good idea to do this a week or so after your period has finished.

Please be reassured that you can always go back and get checked out again if you need to be. In the meantime do try to steer away from the internet as it cannot diagnose you but will cause worry.
