Skin Cancer

I was referred to hosp as I had small lump on my nose and a mole on my arm. When I got there they didn't seem so concerned bout my nose but had to return to hosp same day to get mole removed.  Few weeks later I had lump on my nose removed which I thought was just burnt away.

Couple weeks later I was told arm was Melanoma in situ which they said was nothing to worry bout but just to be sure was going to cut again further and remove a little bit more round the edge which I'm having done Saturday.

Received a phone call again saying they was going to do same again on my nose which I was puzzled about as there was no mention of anything being sent away and it's not as urgent as my arm so I can wait til after Christmas.  Has anyone had similar experiences??

  • Hello

I think the best thing to do would be to ask them when you have the additional skin cut away on Saturday to explain about the lump on your nose and why this is being treated at a different time.  The doctor or nurse treating your arm should have access to your notes and be able to explain this for you.

    I hope that helps
